It's one of Bollywood's Most Awaited Films of 2013, and the reason behind this
curiosity is "Aashiqui" the film which made the careers of singer Kumar Sanu and
composers Nadeem-Shravan. The film was a huge commercial success and one of the
highest grossing films of 1990 mainly due to its music. "Dheere Dheere Se", "
Main Duniya Bhuladounga", " Ek Sanam Chahiye", "Mera Dil Tere Liye" and "Tu Meri
Zindagi Hai" were rages amongst the youth and general audience, all the songs of
the album were huge chartbusters.
Sequel of Aashiqui is directed by well-known director Mohit Suri, Aashiqui 2 is a musical love story, and the soundtrack is composed by three brilliant music composers Mithoon, Jeet Ganguly, and Ankit Tiwari while the lyrics are penned by Irshad Kamil, Sanjay Masoom, Sandeep Nath, and Mithoon, so naturally expectations from the music are sky high. Without further ado, let's check out the soundtrack..

2. After huge success of 'Do Dooni Chaar' and 'Saheb Biwi Aur Gangster', Very talented young musician Ankit Tiwari is back with a fetching track "Sunn Raha Hai" sung by Ankit Tiwari. The composition holds many different facets with lucid musical arrangements & rock guise. Excellent electric guitar used by Ankit Tiwari with hard drum kicks and supportive beats. Ankit's tempting voice and efficacious singing grotesquely forge a lustrous ambience fraught by diligence and penchant. Very evincive lyrics penned by Sandeep Nath, song ends loudly with weighty sound of claps and chorus by crowd. It's a truly fresh composition. Flaming!
3. Now Jeet Ganguly enters with a very soft romantic track "Chahun Main Ya Naa" affectionately rendered by Arijit Singh & Palak Muchhal. Song starts with soft acoustic guitar, piano and soft drum kicks, Arijit Singh's mellifluously driven vocals and Palak Muchhal's pleasing singing makes the song very dulcet and concatenate the sensation and romanticism of a couple in a lovely way. Another good part is string portion mingled with electric guitar and hard drum kicks changes the route and picks up the second antara with Palak Muchhal's supple voice. Nice!
4. "Hum Mar Jayenge" sung by Tulsi Kumar & Arijit Singh, it's another romantic track which prettily delineate the bona fide love and veracity of a couple. After 'Tum Jo Aaye' - Once Upon a Time in Mumbaai (2010) it's Tulsi Kumar's another mesmerizing love ballad, she sung brilliantly. Arijit Singh's supportive segment with his tender voice makes the song more delightful. The song is a reformed version of Jeet Ganguly's popular Bengali song 'Aaj Tomai Niye Suru Holo' - Bandhan (2004), but this version creates a totally different ambience with so many changes in musical arrangements, very sweet & captivating sound of acoustic guitar, flute and traditional instruments like Tumbi, Dholki and snaps makes the song more beautiful, very nice lyrics written by Irshad Kamil. Very Nice!
5. Now we have another soulful track by Mithoon "Meri Aashiqui" sung by Arijit Singh & Palak Muchhal, Mithoon heartedly composed this track and used each aspect very inly. The song dilates 'Tum Hi Ho' more grotesquely and deeply, Palak Muchhal's supple vocals prettily describes the feelings of truthful love of Arohi Shirke(Shraddha Kapoor) towards Rahul Jaikar(Aditya Roy Kapoor), and Arijit Singh carry forward this susceptibility of everlasting love. The everlasting soul-sauntering efficacy is simply delectable for ears, soft drum kicks, claps, electric guitar, piano and string portion everything is just fabulous & brilliantly crafted on very meaningful and entrancing lyrics. Mesmerizing!
6. "Piya Aaye Na" sung by K.K. & Tulsi Kumar, it is another very fresh composition by Jeet Ganguly. Soft musical arrangements and tender pair of two dulcet vocals makes the song very soothing, and Jeet Ganguly very effectively used these melodious vocals of K.K. & Tulsi Kumar to forge a pleasing track. Soft stringed guitar strumming, piano and fetching mouth organ/harmonica all these elements sounds very nice. K.K. & Tulsi Kumar both have done great job. Nice!
7. 'Teri Yaadon Se', 'Jo Tere Sang', and 'Gunaah', after these three very popular songs of 2012 from 'Blood Money' Jeet Ganguly brought another solemn track through entrancing voice of Mustafa Zahid "Bhula Dena" sung by Mustafa Zahid. Song relates rock genre and perfectly suitable for Mustafa Zahid's appealing singing, very abstinent lyrics penned by Sanjay Masoom which tells about sedate protagonist's message to stimulate her(lover) for living without him happily. Musical arrangements with some very professed revulsion in beats like drum kicks, electric guitar makes the song more efficacious. Soulful!
8. "Aasan Nahin Yahan" sung by Arijit Singh, song beautifully describes the real meaning of Aashiqui. Arijit Singh once again behind the mic and he sung nicely, very soft music of drum and piano works as supportive elements. Irshad Kamil's expressive lyrics is the main and very effective part of the song, the impact of the track could be more better. Nice!
9. Here we have another version of Ankit Tiwari's Sunn Raha Hai with very soft and sweet female voice "Sunn Raha Hai (Female Version)" sung by Shreya Ghoshal. The song is totally different from the original one, Ankit Tiwari beautifully altered almost everything through Shreya Ghoshal's magical voice and traditional instruments like ghatam, santoor and transverse flute, it may be the Indian version of the track. Shreya Ghoshal sung brilliantly with totally different but lovely timbre, the track clearly shows Ankit Tiwari's composing skills and ability to compose variegated songs. Very Nice!
10. "Milne Hai Mujhse Aayi" sung by Arijit Singh, this is
another song belonging Aashiqui with it's advantages &
disadvantages. The song is good, Arijit Singh sung very well,
rock feel of the track is the only factor which makes song
audible. This song is another reformed version of Jeet Ganguly's
popular Bengali song 'Mon Hariye Beghorey' - Sedin Dekha
Hoyechilo (2010). Irshad Kamil's lyrics are nice, and sounds
good with fluctuations in antara, it could be more impressive
and emphatic.
11. "Aashiqui (The Love Theme)" composed by Mithoon, track starts with soft string and violin, the concert piano plays whole theme through changing the velocity and hardness of keys. The main tune from Tum Hi Ho also plays it's prime role to end different segments of the theme. Ear soothing!
